Facebook has declared a new feature for application developers and for Security researchers to create a Test user. With the help of that feature, you’ll have the option to create and use “Test User” accounts for testing your Facebook applications, or either can find vulnerabilities in Facebook. Facebook permits you to make a test account without the necessity for an email.

Create Facebook Test User Account for Application Testing

• Goto Facebook Developer page : https://developers.facebook.com/

• Now click on My apps Button.

• Click on Create APP button.

• Now choose which type of app you want to create.

• Now set app name

• Now complete the security checkup.

• Now click here for test user

• Now click here for Create test user

• Now follow the procedure and create test account

• Here you will see the details of your test account

• You can edit all the details of the test account.

Create Test Account for Security Testing

• First of all goto Facebook White Hat page : https://www.facebook.com/whitehat/accounts
• Here you will see the option for create test user.

• When you click on “Create new account” button. Then wait for few seconds. After that a popup message will come out with login details.

• Now you can login with these details.

According to Facebook, When you are unable to recreate a security weakness with a test account, it’s acceptable to use a real account, apart from automated testing.

Limitations of Facebook Test Account

There are some limitations to using a test account :

• Test users cannot interact with real Facebook users. Test user can interact only with other Test Account user.
• Any type of data{post, comment, group, page etc.} that generate by test user is only visible to other test user.
• Test users will only have test privileges.
• Test accounts can’t be converted to non-test accounts.
• Test account are free from spam and fake account detection systems.
• You can create a username, but you’ve to verify your mobile number.
• You Can’t use this account for signup in any other website.

Wrap Up: These types of account is also known as dummy accounts. You can delete the Test user account at any time. If you think you can use this type of account for signup on any other site, then you’re wrong. This account is only for testing and testing. No other use of these types of accounts is possible.
